 1. Clearbit Connect for Gmail

We’ve already mentioned Clearbit Connect as one of the top 25+ must-have tools for digital marketing agencies, but here’s why it’s good for salespeople.

After installing Clearbit Connect, on the right side of your Inbox, you’ll have a bar with the public social media information about your recipient. This helps a lot in making your cold emails personalized. How? You just refer to the company's news or personal interests based on social media information. This helps your odds of getting a reply.

2. Docsify

Have you ever wondered, what happens to your important emails after you push the “Send” button?

If so, Docsify and its email tracking is a must-have tool for you. After you install it, you will know who opened your emails and when, who clicked your links and viewed your attachments. The best and most unique thing Docsify has is per-recipient tracking, so even if you sent an email to several people, you will know who exactly opened it.

If you’re in sales, you send out a lot of PDFs. They might be proposals, presentations, or even invoices.  What if you could know how much time the recipients of those PDF spent on each page of your document?

With PDF tracker, you can prioritize your leads by level of engagement, and contact those who’ve just finish reading. Your close rate could dramatically increase by implementing this approach.

Docsify comes with a lot of productivity features, such as Send Later, Email Templates, and Auto-BCC sync with CRM to name a few.

  3. FullContact

FullContact is a great alternative to ClearBit Connect. It also shows social media information about your recipients.  But both tools show a bit different data, so I highly recommend trying both tools and choosing which you like more.

  4. Giphy for Gmail

Giphy is an extension that can be used for breaking the ice with your leads. How? By sending fun and awesome GIFs to your prospects. By making the recipient laugh, you can highly increase your reply rate. We talked a lot about GIFs in an email introduction and how it can improve your open and response rate.

  5. Checker Plus for Gmail

Checker Plus is one of the best extensions for people who have several Gmail accounts. It gives you fast access via a drop-down menu in Chrome, desktop notifications, color coding, even voice input for writing messages. It's a free plugin that a lot of people use for quicker and easier reading of emails, even when your Gmail isn't open. If you have several Gmail accounts and want to merge them into 1, check how to combine 2 Gmail accounts.

 6. Voila Norbert

Voila Norbert's email finding tool has been voted the most accurate email finder according to Ahrefs. Voila Norbert's easy-to-use chrome extension is a must for any salesperson looking to connect with the right prospect.

 7. Hunter.io

Hunter takes a very simplistic and easy-to-use approach to getting you information. You just go to any website, click on Hunter, and get the list of email addresses of employees and people connected to this domain.

NOTE:  After an update a year or so ago, Hunter no longer works with LinkedIn.

 8. Lusha

Ok, but what to do if found someone in LinkedIn and need to know his/her email address? Or a phone number?  Here Lusha is an easy-to-use tool that works on LinkedIn. You only need 1 minute to start importing emails with a high degree of accuracy. You just open someone's LinkedIn profile, click on Lusha, and get an email address (or a few email addresses) and phone number(s).

 9. FindThatLead

Another great option for finding anyone's email address on LinkedIn or Twitter. Within FindThatLead, Prospector helps you find people that meet your criteria.

 10. Crystal

Crystal searches the public information about your lead, and based on this information, it builds a personality profile. This helps ready you before a cold outreach. My personal recommendation is to combine several tools to get the most of their services, like using Hunter, Lusha, and Crystal at the same time.

 11. Dux-Soup

This is one of my favorite tools for LinkedIn automation. It helps in:

  • Auto-visiting prospects in LinkedIn

  • Auto-messaging prospects in LinkedIn

  • Making notes and tags

The best way to get the most from you search on LinkedIn is to use the premium LinkedIn plan, Sales Navigator, and Dux-Soup Pro or Dux-Soup Turbo. This allows you to find desired leads on LinkedIn using dozens of filters (i.e., title, country, company, industry, etc.) and contact those people on autopilot. This could save you between 10 and 30 hours per week!
